Simply apply a minimal surcharge on each sale to cover cost of both ClickPOS and Tyro Eftpos. Plus if your eftpos sales is over $10k per month, then you pay no terminal rental fee.

To be eligiable for 'No Cost'

  • Your business is registered and operating in Australia
  • You need to be a new customer to Tyro
  • ideally your business processes more than $10,000 on eftpos transactions per month

How to apply

  • Fill out your details by tapping Get Started below
  • We will contact you to evaluate your business requirements
  • Then we will apply to Tyro and start the process. Tyro will email you an application form for ID purposes.
  • Once Tyro approves your application, allow upto two weeks for eftpos machine delivery.
  • During that time we will create a ClickPOS sign in account and start building your menu.

Difference between No Cost and traditional eftpos

With the traditional eftpos, you collect the card surcharges and pay the bank at the end of the month. in addition, you will pay machine rental fee. The No Cost is a new offering that is simpler to manage. Primarily the eftpos fee is charged to the customer, so you don't have to pay at the end of month. If you process more than a specified mimimum amount, then the machine rental fee is also waived.

Settlement of my sales

Tyro will settle the next business day to your nominated bank account. Weekends and public holidays are tranferred next business day

Eftpos machine and rental fee

Tyro will provide the latest eftpos machine with wi-fi, LAN connections, and a 4G backup SIM for any outages that may occur. The machine rental fee is waived, so long as you process more than $10,000 per month using the eftpos machine. If you don't meet this amount, you will be billed $29.95 for terminal rental for that month.

How long does it take for the machine to arrive

Once your application is approved, it can take from 5 to 10 business days. ClickPOS team will initiate the application for you.

What rates will my customers pay

The maximum surcharge applied is 1.8% ex gst. This can be lower for those that process higher eftpos sale transactions. Unfortunately even the banks need to pay surcharge for offering the card services, so the surcharge is unavoidable. We have bundled the ClickPOS app and eftpos together to cover all fees so we can offer you the No Cost deal. The surcharge applied to each sale is to cover the clickpos and eftpos surcharge and machine rental fees.

How do i set the Surcharge on Eftpos machine

The Tyro machine will be shipped to you already setup with surcharge %, and ready to go. Any sale processed will include the Surcharge fee. Sales through ClickPOS application will display the surcharge amount as a seperate field for tracking and financial purpose. The surcharge will also be visible on the customer receipt.

Difference between No Cost offer and BYO eftpos

By teaming with Tyro, we are able to offer a bundle for both ClickPOS app and Tyro eftpos. This means we are offering service as a bundle. You may opt to set surcharge on your BYO machine, however the RBA set a standard to ensure that a business’s surcharge does not exceed the actual cost of accepting the payment. If you choose to apply a surcharge yourself, you must be sure it does not exceed the costs of processing payments, or you could face a penalty for excessive surcharges. To set an appropriate surcharge, you’d need to work out your cost of acceptance for each payment type.

Is eftpos integrated to ClickPOS

Yes, it takes minutes to pair Tyro eftos to Clickpos. Once paired, sale total will automatically display on eftpos machine. You never have to enter the amount or handle the eftpos machine, saving you hours throughout the day. However you have the option of unpairing and using eftpos as stand alone.

What hardware do i need to operate the ClickPOS application

ClickPOS operates on an iPad or iPhone, You will require the current version of iOS. To print receipts and order dockets, use Epson , Star, model printers, either Bluetooth or Ethernet connections.. Customer Display operates on an iPad.
